9/11 Vigil, plus, I hate mosquitos.

I just got back from an off-base ropes course leadership training. It was a ton of fun, but I didn't think to take bug repellant with me, and I know have about 30 mosquito bites on my head neck and arms lol. I will be participating in a 24 hour flag vigil commemorating 9/11 tomorrow, and will stand at attention for 30 minutes without moving, so the bites will be fun.
I do want to express my gratitude for this great country and the freedoms I have been able to enjoy throughout my life. God bless America, and the families of those individuals who died in the 9/11 attacks.

Well, um, Aveno makes a great eczema/sort of all purpose itch relief cream, available at Wal-mart. It may help you to not squirm, grimace, and scratch inappropriately.

Benadryl makes a gel for bugbites. I love it.

Maybe I'll run to the store right now and grab some. I've stood at attention as sweat burned my eye and a fly explored my left nostril without moving, but there is no reason to suffer unnecessarily.
There were some unfilled slots so I'll be there from 7:00-7:30pm Sunday, and then again from 4:30-5:00am Monday morning. Looking forward to it!

Calamine lotion! That helps really well! Or some aloe vera! I break some off of my plant outside and spread it on every time I get a bug bit or something thats itchy!
Oh and thank you Reaper for doing this for the victims in 9/11! I have a lot of respect for you because of this and because it is harder than all get out to stand still for 30 minutes!

He has had to do WAY worse things than stand still for 30 min. The military is not for fun. My husband is ex Army Intelligence. "Interesting" stories, what he is allowed by law to tell that is of course, but some things still cause him problems today after over 10 years.

the best method to get bug bites to stop itching is to take plain deodorant and rub it over them... something my family has always done. Dont know the science behind it, dont know if anyone else does it but it is the best!
Give it a try and you might be surprised
