Well after talking about it forever, I finally pulled the trigger on getting the salt tank set up. I spent at least an hour yesterday washing that damn aragonite sand, I HATE that stuff LOL. I stopped by my LFS and got 10g of SW(at only a dollar a gallon it was worth it) and got 9lbs of LR(one big rock) and 10lbs of dry rock, will most likely add more LR when he gets some smaller stuff in. Got it all in the tank and turned on one of my powerheads, cant turn on my canister(empty) cause the water level isnt high enough yet

gotta get more water in the am.
And since I always make the comments about pics, here are a few of the new tank
Big brownish rock is the LR, white rock is the base rock

No that chunk of LR was 6.99 a lb, I know it was a lot but Im a sucker for helping the little man.
$1 is a good deal around here, the only other place that sells it wants $1.50 a gallon.
No clue what I fish Im going to get yet lol. Going to start with some corals and some inverts. I got a light that has a 12k daylight, actnic, and a moon light so Im hoping to grow corals. And the big win is the guy that sold me the light is going to give, as in free, some frags from his 55.
And I have noticed any hitchhickers yet. But this has been sitting for a long long time so Im not sure if any are left lol

Might just be the angle, but if it is, don't lean any rock against the glass, it can compromise the seams and cause leaks.

You said you have no clue what fish you are going to get yet, but in general are you thinking a SW puffer, or other marine fish?

Reaper I would LOVE a puffer, but none of them will live comfy in a 20.
As much as I dont wanna do the norm, I may just get a clown since my kid will LOVE to have a nemo fish lol

I do need to get some floss material to tie around the intake on the canister to get some of this crap out of the water quicker
