Hello Everyone

My name is Christy I live in Southern Indiana. I am new to fish keeping. I love this site and want to thank all involved what a wonderful collection of information on puffers. I just got my first puffer his/her name is squirt because he is so small and cute. He is a figure 8 puffer. I really am upset by the bad info I got at the pet store. Thank goodness I found this site. I have several questions and was wondering where the best place to post them is.

Either in the Brackish Puffers or Brackish Tanks channels.

Since you said you are new to fish keeping, I just wanted to ask a few questions/give you a few things to research that I wish I had known when I got my first aquarium.
1.Do you know about cycling your tank?
2. How large is the tank your figure 8 is currently housed in?
3. Are you aware of the water parameters and diet of puffers, including brackish water puffers like your figure 8?
4. Have you heard of ich/ick/white spot before? While I hope you don't encounter it, it is a disease you should be aware of. There are others, but this one seems to be the one most frequently brought home from the pet store.
