can you keep the red tail red eye with dwarfs? Sorry if this has been asked before as it probably has.

Okay thanks alot. bumblebee gobies might be okay with the red eye red tails? Or do they need brackish water?

I beleive Bumblebee Gobies need brackish

Salmon is right bbg's are brackish, these puffers are aggressive and should be kept alone

Agreed. Mine will even attack my fingers. Definitely needs to be in a species tank.

Just want to add, all puffers are different. Just like people. When I got mine i had him in a 10g with some platty and molly fry and some pygmy cories. Never bothered anyone. He's a gentleman for sure. Mind you this was a highly planted tank but many times i saw him an inch from the bright orange platty fry. Nothing. He's now in a 15g with just a rubberlip pleco.

I'm not saying do it. Most are aggressive. Be aware. Beware. Hah.
Btw half wanted him to eat the fry because i didnt really mind. Turns out he was not interested in them. Just the blackworms, bloodworms, mysis and snails. Haha

Not being nasty, but the behavior of newly introduced immature puffers and adult puffers is quite markedly different. What juveniles do and what adult do are a long way apart.

I agree with rtr one day these puffers are bound to turn. Yes everyone is different but natural instinct is very strong and deaths will occur 99% of the time. Really not a good idea or you could end up with a tank of dead puffers

My aggressive male and females won't attack shrimp that are the same size as them (one inch) They are not as bad as everyone think, i think.

For now... and shrimp aren't fish, they do have some armor & can escape to tiny spaces, quickly.

When I first moved to the southern US from the west coast, I worked at a seafood restaurant. Someone ordered an item on the menu that normally came with fried shrimp, flounder, and their choice of a side. For some reason, there wasn't a menu item of just shrimp, or just flounder. So I entered the item into the machine and typed the edit function for special instructions, and typed "All Fish". The kitchen manager calls me over after the ticket printed, and with the accent common to the area, and quite the puzzled expression, he says, "Wait a minute here, what's this supposed to mean? I mean, it's all fish." I didn't even know what he was trying to ask, so I just said, "She just wants... the fish." And again he said, "But it's all fish." Then one of the chefs said, "Shrimp are crustaceans, you idiot."
