My GSP (Gregory) acts like he is hungry and when I feed him he only eats a like 2 blood worms then stops. After he does eat his belly look some what full and also look lumpy. I started treating him for parasites is that the right thing to do.

I would say your on the right track with IP treatment. What are you using and are you soaking his food in it.

Tetra Parasite Guard ..I am letting the them soak for a hour then feeding them to him but has i said he is really not eating. Is there something that is better to use? and is that the right stuff?

A lot of people here use the Jungle fizz tabs. The soaking is the correct thing to do and you can try soaking it in garlic as well to get him to eat more.

What I noticed is that the longer I soaked the food the less likely the fish are to eat it, but an hour sounds right.
+1 to garlic. I mashed a garlic clove in a garlic press, some people use a garlic extract.
You could experiment with different foods too, maybe there is something more irresistable to him?
It's good that he is at least eating some..
I've used the tetra product with success, I feel it about the same as the jungle fizz.

Also, once he's been cured of the IPs you should try some earthworms. Plenty of people have had success in getting their puffers to eat more with earthworms.

I tried to feed him krill he picked at it a couple time but then stopped. I would get and put in back in there and he would do the same thing to it and I gave him a snail and he ate some of it. How long do I need to treat him for?
also I have him in freshwater right now I was going to start making it brackish this weekend should I just now? Or would that even make a difference?
