How, I've been looking at refugiums online, and I don't see why a tiny plastic box with holes in it should cost fifty to one hundred dollars. I have a small container that could easily hang in my ten gallon (soon to be nano reef) tank. The only differences I see between it and other refugiums are the bits of upright plastic inside, and a way to get water in. Would drilling holes inside and pointing a powerhead in its direction be enough to grow copepods and small amounts of algae?

Container: 4'' long, 2'' tall, 1'' wide.

Also, would it be feasable to put a clam or any coral in a ten g?

Your nano-refugium is going to eat the light that your nano-reef needs. It also will play hob with your current. Most refugia do not need the light intensity of reef organisms, and many are 24/7 lighted (which the reef will not like).

It may be possible, but I doubt seriously that it will work well and will be an eyesore. Nano tanks are tricky and difficult enough.
