yes, its going to be in a 55 gallon sump

I am running a reef octopus and I think it has been good for the money. That is about all I can give from experience. For the money the ASM G2 or G3 have always been spoken highly of by everyone I know of that is running one. If/when I get a new skimmer for my 90g+30g tank I am going to go with a G2 to try it out.
