I don't know if this is in the right spot, but at my LFS they had Fugu puffers in freshwater, they are really neat looking, but I know nothing about them. what are their requirements and so on and so forth?

Well I do believe I may not want to get myself into that because it seems like a ton of work and lots of money...

Puffers are pretty standard in care in comparison to other fish, they just need a bit more ater due to their bulk and temperament.

But realistically it is good to recognize the requirements of any animal in captivity and the responsibility of caring for it. As many puffers outlive most dogs, it is not a small thing.

Fugus (if you're referring to the ocellatus), definitely require way more care than other species. There are fugus that are treated like regular SW puffers though.

But they are beautiful! The care is fun!
A tank only with fugu is not expensive.Unless you give them hard corals to eat.
