How to quarantine snails.

So I'm completely out of snails. I want to get a colony started again. My LFS actually doesn't have any snails but MTS's, so I guess my last resort is from a pond. How safe is that? How should I quarantine them? I was thinking of letting them lay eggs and then steal the eggs and hatch those in their own tank and them being the start of the colony. Sound good?

AFAIK, the parasites that snails may carry can't be transferred to fish. It is what would be in the pond water itself (and in the water under their shells) that poses the risk, I think.

Really? That'd be great.
I only found three snails. I'll let them lay a couple sacs then remove the eggs into a fresh container and freeze the parents to feed.
