I have a 170l tank, so I will have to upgrade as it grows. Yes i noticed that it is aggressive, it attacked a catfish 3 times it size 5 minutes after seeing it. What should I give it now when its small? I've been giving it blood worms and it seems to like it. Should I invest in some shrimps or something so it gets to hunt?

ps. Catfish has been moved and is now safe ds.

instead of moving when you think it needs it, its better to do it asap

I measured my tank and it is actually 198,5 liters but yeah, Im searching for a new tank. But, Im a student and I cant afford it now but its number 1 on my to buy list.

Yep, a fahaka. The bloodworms be good for the part of his diet while he is still small but he will need more different kinds of frozen and live foods. Local baitshops should sell live crayfish at different sizes and those would be a big plus for something to hunt and they are naturally crunchy.

snails(small breeding tank is easy to do), earthworms, bits of shrimp. Thats what I fed mine when he was small

Just for the record, the fugu that the OP mentioned are most likely not freshwater, but rather hight brackish to marine...even if the pet store says different!

yeah Im on it, ill probably be able to afford it in july, purplecandy: my friend who i adopted it from told me that it was a fugu, but i thought fugus were marine since they eat them in japan and well they probably have rivers in japan too but i just had a feeling he didn't know what he was talking about so i thought ill consult the pros (thats you guys). I was already looking for a puffer but something smaller like a gsp (and not right now) but then fate dropped this little guy in my lap and i just had to say yes. Well if i didn't he would probably be snakehead-snacks now and besides puffers are kind of hard to get hold of in sweden. Pufferpunk: ive only had him for less than a week and fed him with what i had at home (bloodworms) and he eats it but im setting up a small snailtank, i have a walrus of endlers guppy, do you think he will hunt and eat them? sorry for The layout, im using my android
