Help! Leopard Gecko laid egg!

Just noticed an egg in my gecko cage. I wasnt quite sure what to do but did a little research and put moist dirt in a container then put the egg in. sealed the lid and placed on top of a heating pad. I am going to try to maintain it at 80/82 degrees as best I can with this makeshift incubator. any tips? I need all the help I can get!
