I apologize if this has already been asked, if it has I didn't see it.

I've been told to not feed Mayalysian Trumpet Snails since they can break the teeth of puffers but I was wondering... Since Amazon Puffers are prone to overgrowth, are MTS okay for them? Not as a sole source of food, of course.

This is probably a stupid question, I'm wondering if their teeth would break regardless with MTS but I don't know if they have especially hard teeth and that's why they get overgrown.

I think they are just fast growing, from what I've heard, MTS are just too hard period for any puffer. Not a stupid question at all though.

MTS are too difficult for puffers. Pond snails or ramshorns are best.

A lot of people have reported that larger puffers have no problems with turning MTS shells to dust. I've heard very mixed opinions on this.

MTS and SAPs do not mix at all. I lost SAPs due to MTS incisor breakage back fully to the gum line, requiring multiple trimmings under anaesthias - not a good or safe thing.

I cannot say for others, but my Ceylon can crush MTS without an issue. My Fahaka does not get any. He only gets Rams as far as snails are concerned.
