Hello,

My GSP seems to be doing pretty good other than the fact that he has this white clump on the top of his pectoral fin,

Here is a picture of it..

It's kinda hard to see...on his right side, his fin is not clamped at all though, only when he is resting on the bottom he sometimes does not move that one.

How does his general health look also? does he seem alright?

He is slightly gray only around the edges of his belly though, could the lump be causing this? I don't think it is ich as i've been trying to do as much research on this as i can, and there is no other white spots...just the lump on the top of his right pectoral fin.

I will post more pics if needed

Great, thank you

What causes that?
is there anything I should do to help him? or to avoid it in the future?

Keep an eye on it to see if it develops into something worse but it's usually just an irritation.
