I had a quick question

Hi again. I had a question about Rex. So I just got his ip medicine today (metronidazole) and I fed it to him by soaking shrimp in it, and threw two measures directly in the water just incase. When I came home earlier I found him resting on the sand and having a black belly and was wondering if this was normal behavior for a puffer being treated for ip or if I should be concerned. Thanks a lot for any help!

Possible over-medicated? I'm great at killing fish that way.

It says on the bottle that overdosing is unlikely and I don't feel like I added that much.. Could he just be infected with a lot of ip he was from walmart..

It's possible that he has a heavy load and isn't feeling too well. Have you checked your water parameters? Is it possible that you caught him sleeping or before he woke up fully?

it could be his IPs are really severe and them reacting to the meds is taking a toll on him...if he wasnt just sleeping

"update" hey so just updating he is swimming around fine again. I think he was just feeling a bit crappy. He has a creamy white belly and is generally being adorable again.
