Dwarf puffers in a eclipse 6 gallon?

I have an eclipse 6 gallon freshwater snail spawner, and i am going to soon move the snails into a 10 gallon tank. The 6 gallon is heavilly planted.
My question is if i could keep Dps in there and if so, how many? Im guessing 1.

The "rule" is 2-3 gallons per DP, but I'm no expert.

Ill be using my tap water, which is well water, and has natural nitrates of 20ppm ( I use RO water treated with ROright and KH stabilizer for my other tanks, but cant really afford the water and such for yet another tank.)
The tank is uberly heavily planted, so that would eat up the nitrates, although i have had problems in this tank before with the filter breaking down, I just wasnt cleaning it regularly enough.
Hmmm, its so temtping to keep 2, maybe i should stick with just one...

For awhile i was using the twelve gallon eclipse for a sick tank and for holding new fish. Worked pretty good, filter kept the bare bottom pretty clean i could service it without terrorizing the new fellow or the sick fellows.
Lately i've been pondering DPs in one. I typically hate marineland products with a passion but i have to give credit those tanks can be very useful for some applications. i wouldnt do a comunity tank in it or anythin but in the right uses they do great.
I might have to see if my friend still has his 37 gallon sitting around. That would look nice as a DPs tank...
I"m glad i'm not the only one who looks at any water holding vessel and wonders what i could put in there.

I really like the ML eclipses for Bettas..really low current filter suits them just fine.

2 will be fine just one will be kind of lame get two the rule is 2-3 gallons a puffer but 3-5 is better

No, I would rather go with a singal DP instead of stressing the bio load of such a small tank.

IMHO & IME a singleton puffer is not "lame" at all. Most of my puffers have been singletons.
There is no hard and fast rule to puffer keeping, but I would personally never put two DPs into a 6 gallon tank - that is much too small for stability. Also IMHO 2 gallons is much to small an allowance for DPs. NIMT!
