My new puffer

So, having had pea puffers, green spotted puffers and a mbu previously. I came across a puffer last weekend when I was on a business trip, paid for it and made arrangements to have it shipped to my home city.

I run a few different tanks and figured it would be no problem to home this 4 inch puffer. I have a 180g sw, a 100g brackish and about 1300g of fresh water tanks so was not to worried about what to place the little guy with. I moved my loiselle jaguar couple out of their 140g tank in to my 230g parachromis tank.

I was pleased to see this puffer as your home page profile fish today Takifugu Ocellatus , as that is the exact fish that I have in my tank.

From the things I have been reading about it, I sense a challenge at hand here and will use this thread to document how long I can keep the puffer alive. I will start converting the tank to a high end brackish set up over the next few weeks. I would be very interested in hearing from those of you who have this species or have had this species.

Watch that you don't raise the SG more than .002 pre week. You might want to check this link out.

I saw a tank of 12 of them today. Great looking fish and they seem to be in season for the trade right now. I wish I had the tank space but I will settle for following this thread,
