I've got my moms tank up and going. 28g nano. 30lbs of LR and around 35lbs of aragonite sand. As far as media we are running the sponge that came with it, Chemi-pure elite and the carbon that came with it. We also have a bag of Purigen...should I go ahead and add the Purigen? The media basket sucks so I will be building a new media basket from eggcrate soon. The current sponge will be too small for the new basket, what would y'all recommend as far as floss or another sponge? Thanks. There is a pic of the tank in the picture section. We tested the water yesterday and the parameters are:
Ammonia:.25
Nitrite:.50
Nitrate:.20

Hopefully it won't take forever to cycle!

No mechanical media necessary for a SW tank. Be sure you have good flow in there. You can either go with a small HOB skimmer or regular, weekly, 30% WC. Chemipure will lower your pH. I'd go with Purigen though, better than carbon, IMO.
