The Puffer Forum

Well I forgot that I asked my friend to bring me some guppies to put in my 20L to keep it cycled while I wait to find a congo puffer to put in it. Well he brought them to me today at work in a plastic ziplock baggy in regular tap water from what he told me. Lucky for me working in a hospital I have access to bigger containers so I moved them to a big emesis basin and have filtered water to put in it. Of course I was to busy trying to getting Firemedics crayfish out today to remember my prime.

So I can get to a good amount of supplies, basins, iv tubing, stuff like that and I have filtered water. Is there anything else I can do to help these little dudes survive the next 9 hours? Already had one try to commit suicide and jump out of the basin lol

Gawd... I have watched these guys spawn in a tank that was cycling. Just keep it aerated and and keep an eye on them. No big deal.

i think all you can do is hope or phone a friend who can pick them up and find suitable accomodation

really JP, then im not over worried. I have some IV tubing to suction out the poop and filtered water to put back in, and help put some O2. I tried splashing the water to get O2 in there but thats when the one tried to jump for i tlol

They should be fine. They sit in bags longer than that for shipping.

lol ya nothing like keeping fish in a emsin basin, using hacked up iv tubing to suck out poop, and bottled water for water changes lol

And Im an idiot they are mollies not guppies, just didnt pay attention to what I typed....not that it matters anymore
