I present to you the filter that i have been talking about building! Its finally done and running better than i could have asked. The picture is not the best, but the idea is pretty straight forward. The design is an inline filter system with 3 modules; one for filter media (1 full bag of fine filter floss), one is for sphagnum peat moss and activated carbon, and the last is for the purigen. the pump is a 580gph inline/submersible pump which i have running dry and as for the rest of the components and steps, i shall do that tomorrow =D (there will be a heater module, but that will be saved for another time) but here is the Material list, instructions, and the picture (which i will try to update with a better one today)

Ive caught a lot of trought with those rods =P

I finally elbowed around all of the problems that arose, such as the pump not pumping water even though fully primed. reduced the amount of modules to 2 instead of 3 to help the flow rate and built an inflow outflow set up to free the old ones for my new puffer tank (has the fang puffer, but will be trading it among other things for a congo soon)

i'll post pics either tomorrow, sun or monday.

I do not know if i will finish the DIY instructions or not, but if i do i'll post it as a downloadable attachment.
