but i could never get a good picture of it. last night i tried again with my cell phone and i got decent pictures to at least show what im looking at. on this little piece of rock there are these white things, they look hard and have an opening. well when i turn on tank lights and you see they have tentacle type things coming out of them. very thin, sway with the current and will trap food like flakes or pellets, i never noticed with blood worms and mysis shrimp though. last night i fed pellets and flakes to my crew while defrosting some mysis, after a minute of watching the fish eat i noticed these things coming out and the part that is tube-like with the tentacles coming out has a pellet on the opening so i decided to take a few pictures, and by a few i mean like 30 until i had two or three decent pictures that you can tell what i was looking at  if you are uncertain what im trying to point out i will open the images in paint and circle what it is and upload again. i have a digital camera, but its the same mp as my phone lol so i didnt bother to dig it out yet even though im sure i can still get better pictures with that

Another worm that I had in the past from LR. Some type of tube worm but not sure what the name is. Great cleaners though.

they dont seem harmful, they dont take over the tank. i have noticed these a few months ago and kept an eye on them but dont seem to be getting any worse so i assumed they are safe

Have them in my tank too - they build little houses out of the sand. Then wave their tentacles around at feeding time.

Something I saw in PP's link got me thinking about something I've been wondering, but I'll post it as another thread.

Ok.
I've seen a lot of nice looking nudibranchs on tv, I know they are usually predatory, but if I could get the right kind I would do a species only tank with them.
So my question is, are they readily available in the pet trade?

They are specialized feeders, mostly eating specific sponges. Don't bother.

Even though I dont have a saltwater tank, that was an interesting article. Also I did get some information I needed, on my hair algae :D but I really am sorta happy with my hair algae, its staying pretty confined and I dont think its out of control. Plus, its kind of cool-looking.
