What a small world we live in. I just had to join this forum after running into Pufferpunk this past weekend. I say small world because I used to work for her at a pet shop TWENTY NINE years ago! LOL
At any rate, my name is Bob and I keep cichlids of all sorts, own a Pittie, 5 cats, an Eclectus parrot and would love to get into a nice freshwater puffer.
So hello everyone. My mouth is shut, and my ears and eyes are wide open!

Cichlid nuts generally make good puffer keepers. Welcome to the party.

Thanks for the welcome. Now what's a good FW puffer? Something that gets 5-8" with that "face"?!

I got into puffers through a long process. I started with newts. Bought some guppies as a feeder for my newt, and they let them live, so they became beloved pets. Started keeping platys. Got into other freshwater fish. Then finally, I started keeping puffers.

Do I have to admit that I got my first puffers to eat the excess snails in my Cichlid fry grow-out tanks? 'Way back in the '60s. PP is rather young to me...
