Started Cycling! (water in tank)

So I finally cleaned the old aquarium and filled it with water. I'm using shrimp pellets as a source of ammonia.

What is your bacteria source? Remember that using water from another tank is not the best idea.

Don't have a bacteria source yet, I could put a old filter cartridge from my dad's tank in the tank.
