I hate my tank!

Whilst my tank looks beautiful from a distance, I have started to only see the faults. I see the aiptasia, the flatworms & the bubble algae. I feel I will never get on top of these problems. Do others commonly suffer from these things, or am I doing things wrong? I adore my puffers (& i do really love the tank!) but trying to control all the problems seems like a full time job - when do I get to sit back & enjoy the fruits of my labour!?
Is it just me?

Just finish with a cyano outbreak, still dealing with dino.
For Aiptasia I mix a little two part epoxy putty for putting rocks together and press directly over top of it. Works everytime.
Your tank is new and it will take a while to stabilize. Remember that when you change something (like adding more rock). It just takes time.

Just try battling one thing at a time. I got emerald crabs to work on the bubble algae, a Convict tang & phosphate remover for the macro algae , regenerated a bunch of bags of Purigen to clarify the water & started doing lots more WC. The dino is almost completely gone, no cyano to speak of, & the macro algae is appearing to have much smaller leaves. Lots less bubble algae, too.

Nudibranch on order to eat up the flatworms. Aiptasia X has worked a treat so far. Bubble algae - hmmmm.

I didn't there there was a nudi that ate FW. You also have to plan on what to feed it when the food is gone.

Its a blue striped/blue velvet/neon blue nudi (seen it with several different names). It can help control the flatworms, but unlikely to eradicate them completely. I already have somewhere for it to go if it does a good job - another friend with the same problem. Think we may end up having it on a time-share basis! It may not work, but I'll give it a go before trying the chemicals. I'll let you know how it works out. If it doesn't work, its a pretty cool looking creature in its own right so I'll be happy for it to be in the tank.

unfortunately with that particular sea slug the only thing it eats is flatworms. when it eats all of the flatworms you can ether get rid of the slug or get more flatworms for it to eat.
