Fin Rot

I'm sorry if this is a re-post, I'm new to this forum and not sure how to manage my way around just yet. My GSP has what I believe to have fin rot ( classic signs ) should I use a "hospital tank" to treat him with medication, I have been reading that I should not treat the "real" tank with the medication? Water levels all check out perfect, ph good, nitrate good, nitrite good, I am in the process of adding .002 per week starting today to make the tank brackish. What medication is the best and quickest to make my GSP better? Thank you, I'm not sure if i left anything out....if I did I'm sure you will ask me :D

Can you answer the questions in red listed above? Fin Rot is generally caused by poor water conditions related to one of them.

Getting the SG up should help if the parameters are good (as Dad requested, please post). Melafix/Pimafix is what I'd use in the main tank.

Parameters : ph is 7.4, ammonia is 0, nitrite is 0, nitrate is approx. 10-20, salinity 0 ( will start the increase today )
Tank : 30g, 1 GSP, approx 15-20 ghost shrimp, lots of decor and fake plants
Feeding once daily ( baby shrimp ), crab once a week, looking for small enough snails. I add Prime to every bucket of every water change. NO changes made to tank recently, same schedule weekly. Aquarium has been set up for 15 months same GSP.

Looks good! Starting FW SG has to be at least 1.000.
