Does anyone know whether it is legal to import puffers. I live in Lansing Michigan and found a puffer for sale in Toronto Canada. I have tried looking online with no such luck. So does anybody know if it is legal to bring puffers across the border from Canada to the US?

it is ... but best if you have an import / export #
I know of a seller that purchased some exotic shrimp from Canada and they turned out well. IF you do, you'll have to go with FedEx or the likes so they can pre-clear customs for you.

Call Border Services. Plain and simple. Get it done properly. I'm sure you can drive to pick it up, just have your paperwork ready to go.
http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/menu-eng.html (Canada)
http://www.cbp.gov/ (USA)
I'd suggest you contact both sides.

Thanks. I contacted the fish and wildlife agency but they sent me a link that didn't work. I'll try your stuff out.
