I have a couple of Figure 8 puffers for a year or so kept in brackish water (1.005 – 1.008 usually) with some bumble-bee Gobies.

I feed mixture of bloodworm, shrimp (live), prawn, squid, and live Ramshorn snails from my breeding tank.

All the frozen food I give to the puffers I add a vitamin supplement to.

The puffers were wormed by myself using Kusuri wormer plus when I first got them to get rid of any possible worming parasites over a year ago.

They are both very bright colouring with nice white bellies and are very active. Both get fair share of food and there is no fighting/chasing as they keep to there ends of the tank, the grumpy Gobies chase them lol.

The problem is one of the guys is a lot skinnier than the other, they both eat well and round up after feeding. But a day later one is skinny again but the other looks chunkier (if that make sense). One is longer and skinny whilst the other is fatter and shorter.

No matter what feeding I do he always looks the same after a day been back to skinny.

Should I reworm them or is it possible that he could have a higher metabolism than the other one?

Just a theory, but may be a male and a female.

Does it look deathly skinny or just thinner. Pics?

I have the same thing with mine. One is always fat and one is always thiner (but not deathly thin). The strange thing is the skinny one is always the first to eat and the fatter one later (he's more shy though). They too have heen treated for IP's. I do wonder about the male female suggestion it would seem to make since because the fat one is also larger overall.
