Green & Red Bubbles..

In my fairly newly established set-up, I have started to see a few bubbles things attached to the rocks. Some are red & some are green. Various sizes, but seem to grow pretty quickly. Is this some sort of algae, or something I should be concerned about? I did try & get one or 2 off to have a look at - one burst & the other floated off.

I can't say for sure as I am fairly new to SW myself,...but I have seen bubble algae in other SW tanks. I'd check the net for some referrences to that and see if it matches what you have.

It does seem to be some sort of bubble algae - quite pretty at the moment, but seems that it can get a bit out of control, so I need to try & remove it if I can.

I know of a very accolpished reef-keeper locally who has recently dealt with this problem. I will solicit some treatment advice from him and pass it on.

Yes, but they are just single bubbles here & there at the moment - also some are red. They are quite firmly attached & pretty hard to remove without popping them - which I believe release spores into the tank?
