So I was looking in my tank today and one of my puffers (there are 13 of them) looks ALOT different than the others... I thought I bought 13 DPs. They were really tiny when I got them, less than 1/2". So check this one out, to me it looks completely different than the others: But here is what the rest of them look like: This puffer really doesn't change too much and always looks like this (the top 2 pics). So is it just an extreme color change that this puff has or is it not really a DP and just a juvenile of another kind?

I have seen quite a bit of variation in the dwarf puffers I have seen....looks awesome.

WOW,...13 DP's would be cool. Like a swarm of bees.

It's pretty cool watching them eat; they swarm on food and play tug-of-war with the bloodworms. Haven't fed them snails yet, still waiting on them to breed in a separate 5 gallon.

So is it normal for one to have such a variance? I have been thinking it is a different kind of puffer, especially since it is always just that one and it doesn't change, but maybe I am wrong.

It's a DP . Quite a pretty little guy! Are those white spots?

I say DP too. I have seen ones like the one with the white spots before. Dont know if its genetic or something else but realy makes him different looking though.

Looks like an interesting color variant. Keep us updated on this puffer.
