Well, I got a steal on another 180 gallon tank this spring. It came tank only and it has Fahaka written all over it. It came tank only so I built a rudimentary stand for it and already have the plans to finish it and I have to build every thing from the ground up. I will post step by step pictures here if I have time to do so. This is going to be fun! This will give me a total of 880 gallons on my first floor alone and close to 1000 gallons total in the house. All but my 120 marine are species only.

8 total.
2 x 30 gallons
1 x 55 gallons
1 x 75 gallons
1 x 120 gallons
2 x 180 gallon
1 x 250 gallon
Plus one 10 gallon snail tank that I really don't count.
The 180 and the 250 I have now are filtered really uniquely. I have them running on a fluidized bed filters for biofiltration with 2 Hydor Koralia Magnum 7 and 8 pumps each for water movement. The mechanical filter I use on it is a Lifegard Aquatics triple module in line filter. The Magnum 7's are all on one end of the tank and the intake for the filers is on the other. Basically I have mimiced an African river. I am going to do something similar to this one for filtration.

Big tanks are what convinced me that filtration should be segregated by type - it does simplify your life. Now I don't have anything running but smallish mid-sized tanks, and I still segregate mechanical, biological, and chemical filtration, but I only rarely do any chemical.
Every tank counts, whether it is independent or connected to another, or in a range, or central system. A tank is a tank is a tank, even if it serving as a sump or veggie filter - those have segregated biological processes which support the 'display' to which they are linked. I have more linked tanks that free-standing singletons. Singleton free-standing tanks are too limiting to me Playing with puffers and Cichlids taught the limits of single-tank set-ups.
My one exception is aging vessels. Aging vessels or reservoirs I generally do not count as tanks, even if they in reality may be such. They are not operating systems, just processing equipment to me. They are not linked to other inhabited tanks permanently.

Ok, count the snail tank and the sump in there....that gives me over 1000 gallons of water total.

Humidity can be a big issue in tank rooms. My primary room is on the house HVAC, and moderate by that constant-on equipment.
