I got an email from Salty Supply yesterday saying that they're offering free shipping (and no taxes for most states) on all protein skimmers...

I have no affliation with Salty Supply, and nothing to gain from this deal... just think free shipping is great and wanted to share it with my fellow puffer lovers!

DFS has free shipping for purchases <$49.

haha I ordered my skimmer from Salty Supply. I will never order anything through them again. They have absolutely ZERO customer service (I invite anybody to try and call their number and see if you can get through to somebody). It took 25 days from the day I ordered my skimmer to get to me. I ordered it a while back and after a week without it coming I started to email them and try to call without any response to either. Two weeks later after placing my order I received an email saying....."Hi There has been a slight delay in octopus skimmer shipments as they are closed for Mardi Gras today. Skimmers will be shipping tomorrow and thank you again for your patience"......Needless to say I was not pleased with that at all since they had two weeks BEFORE Mardi Gras to get it shipped. I really despise that place still I would gladly pay ten dollars more and go through somebody with a sliver of customer service. Thanks for the heads up though

Im a ebay shopper through and through . Been ordering aquarium products off of ebay here lately and they have been arriving as expexted or even earlier then expected. Plus alot of free shipping products too. Im looking at some bio balls, caniter filter, and a 48" light strip from ebay. Might end buying one of the light strips and bio balls because I need them ASAP.

No kidding! I didn't have any issue with the two items I bought from them. Good to hear about someone else's experience, though...

Yeah that's weird. I am glad to hear that your experience went better than mine!

I've always been happy with DFS. Still waiting for my net from Petsolutions.com. They sent me the wrong size & said they were sending a replacement months ago.

That is a shame about petsolutions. I have always had very great experiences with them and DFS. Both have had quick shipping and great customer support. Pretty much the only places I will buy fish supplies through. Except for the occasional ebay purchase.....
