I will be upgrading my 33 gal reef tank to a 55 in a few months and wanted to get some opinions on what overflow layouts work best for you guys. ie corner overflow, center overflow, etc
Please let me know your thoughts and feel free to include pics and or drawings if you have.
Thanx

I always thought the corner was better placement. Obviously, the corner farthest away from viewing. That being said, since I bought my tank used, mine is on the the left of the middle. I have GSP growing over it, so it doesn't stand out too much. Another thought--I love my SeaSwirl & think it would have better coverage, if the overflow was in a corner, although the flow does bounce off the tank walls & around the overflow.
Could I convince you to go larger than 55g???

I started my reefing with a 55g & then moved to a 90g. I'd love to go bigger but I'd have to kick Filbert out of his 125g.

I'd love to go bigger PP,...but I am in a 1 bdrm apartment on the second floor of a house built in 1905...and I already have 12 aquariums stuffed in here with my dog and his cat. I don't think the floor would take it if I went any bigger. I am already concerned with a 55 and 33 gal sump/fuge
