I know there are mod to do it for saltwater, but I dont think those mods will work for fresh or brackish water. So if there something I can do to my filter so it will be able to fit a heater in it? Please help me out
Thanks,
Trever

I do mod it to use as a refugium for my SW tanks & even add Purigen in there.

so there is no way at all that I could fit it in there? I know I need a heater but it looks crowded in there with one. There is nothing I could do?

I'd be afraid it would melt the plastic box, if it touched it.

I know if I had full saltwater I could replace the stuff that is in the filter right now with live rock. I can do something of that nature?

I would not do anything to damage that AC70. They are the best HOB filter's and they do their part. If you want to tinkle with filtration and heater's, try adding a small sump (like PP mentioned) and add a heater to it instead. Works wonders I hear.
