how old do mbu live for

just wondered if anyone can help me on this one as mine is about 8/9 years old and looking a bit tired

Mid to upper teens. Perhaps you could describe the set up you are keeping them in?

he is in a 8x3x3 with 4ft sump filter temp 27 0amm o.1 nitrate
been in this set up for monthes with no probs and now he is dying for no reason
i dont think he will last the next hour

he is bent over double and breathing real slow and been on his back a couple of times

yesterday and he wasnt as interested as normal
there are no signs of probs

Is that 0.1 nitrate or 0.1 nitrite?
Common hobby kits cannot read 0.1 nitrate.
