Damaged Mushrooms

If I am late feeding my GSPs or its the day I don't feed at all, they will go around all my live rock looking for stuff to eat. Which is fine & nice, cos its great to see them showing normal behaviours. However, they are making a mess of all my little liverock thingies! They have eaten most of the feather dusters & have started taking chunks out of the mushrooms. Will the mushrooms regenerate if they are not too badly mauled, or should I get them out in case they start to rot & foul the water?

Left alone,...most mushrooms will regenerate if the damage is not too extensive.
That being said, I don't think it's recommended to keep corals, etc with GSP's for just that reason. They will most likely continue to damage and eat the corals.

Yeah, there are just a few on a particular piece of rock. Not really planning on keeping corals - maybe a couple of frogspawn corals as they leave that one alone (I think it stings!).
