So IMO congo, hairy, arrowhead, and abei puffers look similar and has basically the same behavior, so is there any other kinds of puffers that are nearly the same. I know that congo, arrowhead and hairy puffers are expensive and hard to find so are abei puffers expensive and hard to find?

Please help me

Thanks,
Trever

I know that I had put those 4 species of puffers on a list that I handed over to a lfs plus a fahaka puffer along with those too. Well they told me that they would be looking out for those for me but they did come across a 6" fahaka and ordered it for me. Got lucky on that :D . But those others that was on the list are still being looked for on their orders because after they ordered my fahaka, they wanted to start getting in the other freshwater species. I think spring time is when most are imported and might be able to find more easily and maybe cheaper.

I called a lfs the other day asking about SAP's, he told me that us a region puffers are from and not a "common name" for any sort of puffer...lol...then goes on to tell me they had some "furry" puffers!!! Lol!!!! Then he went on to try to sell me an Mbu. I have never been to this store and don't think I will ever go. I really thought "furry" puffer was funny!

Some people calls them different names. Also alot of fish that come to the petshops labeled as these funny names so the petshop workers go by the labeled names. I would had went to the lfs to look at these furry puffers that could had been hairy puffers :D .

^ Thats what i was thinking, i would never discredit a shop purely based on what they called a fish... or i'd probably never be able to get any fish i wanted living in Hong Kong...
