Please help. My GSP got attacked my his (ex) friend about a week ago. She has half a missing lip and a missing tail fin. I am very worried, because despite how often I feed her her belly continually stays sunken ( I did a week of IP treatments that ended last week). I decided to do a freshwater dip and every time I do I see these brown threads/streamers coming out of her left gill. Are these worms>? What Should I DO!!!

post it at Image Shack and copy/paste the link... easiest way. You don't need an account there to upload

What did you use to treat his IPs? Sounds like you didn't use the correct med. That should have killed off the flukes too.

I used 3 treatments of Tetra's Parasite Guard as recommended by a friend who is very experienced in fish care.

I know. I dont understand. What would be making her center of gravity off? She is having a really hard time staying down, and when she lets of of the control, she kinda sumersaults in the water before going back up. I know that is not normal. Ive done water changes regularly, they tested my water at the pet store and said it was perfect for them. :'( I dont know what to do.

Try burping.

JW, does that medicine require the removal of activated carbon? I know sometimes carbon can neutralize the effects by absorbing it from the water column.
Just a thought.

I did remove the carbon filters when I treated.
Burping? How would I go about doing that?
