Just wanted to share this video of a GSP I found on YouTube (this is not mine). Wonder how big he is? And how he got his battle scar on his back?

Just normal adult sized GSP.

Awwww... that's the same guy??? The tank in the 1st vid looked a bit small. I wonder, since this guy is Asian, if he captured the puffer locally at that adult size?

His tank did look incredibly small. I hope it just looks that way because we're seeing only seeing a portion of it... I was wondering about the hermit crab myself! Do you think he ate the WHOLE thing?

I saw the second video, and he looked awful! So sad!! I wonder what happened to him? I cannot imagine my little GSP getting that big, although I know it'll happen sooner or later!

All GSPs should get that big.

In the second video..did you see what he was spinning on top of and pointing his nose towards??

He is spinning on top of a clear container that his holding snails . Re-watch the movie you will see he is probably not sick, just really ticked off that he can't get those snails.

LOL, you're so observant! I'm so glad he's not dying.

Despite being Asian** that puffer keeper is not that bad. Its a marine tank and the puff gets lots of hard shelled foods, the guy does water changes and the puffer is like 2 years old.

That is way better than a lot of Americans treat puffers

** when I say "despite being Asian" I do not mean it in a racist way! I just mean that Asian tanks are often small tanks, due to limit space and not because the fish keeper himself is Asian

I only said that because that's where GSPs come from.

I have watched all of this persons video's of his GSP. He continually upgrades the size of tank for this fish. The fish is loved a lot ... you can tell as you watch the progression of the housing provided for the fish.

In the first video the GSP did not eat the hermit crab.... it was just a piece of coralline gravel in the tank.

There are quite a few of the videos.... if you have some time to spend just start watching them and enjoy the dates as well....

He does seem to love his puffer & it's thriving because if that.

IDK, he doesn't really look so healthy in that last clip. Much thinner & lumpier looking, with a very dark belly.
