Puffer Dentistry UK - Colomesus Asellus - Kusuri Masuizai

Thought I pass this on for anyone living in the UK with Colomesus Asellus (or any other puffer) that needs its teeth trimming!
Anyone who lives in the UK will know that things are always a little more difficult and certainly a lot more expensive to do!
So even with a diet of crunchy foods "Puffys" teeth needed trimming and with MS-222 being difficult to get hold of I looked to other alternatives. I didn't want to use Clove Oil so some one recommended Kusuri Masuizai Koi Sedate & it works a treat!
It is designed for sedating koi but came recommended as being suitable for use with most fish including puffers. So I ordered it from a Koi specialist online via their Ebay shop for around £15.00.
Recommended Dosage:
10ml for every 9 litres of water
I originally thought I'd half the dose but this didn't have much effect on Puffy, (probably as Colomesus Asellus are really active puffers) so I upped the dosage to what they recommended and even then he wasn't completely knocked out!
But there was no struggling, no air puffing his recovery was almost immediate and I got his teeth trimmed! Now he is now happily swimming with his fellow puffers!
