I found this article today. It is from 2008, so I am not sure if anyone has seen it, but I thought it was informative.

Great start to the article--they have the name wrong: Colomesus psittacus. Maybe the pic is just wrong? All the rest of the info is good for the Colomesus psittacus.

The pic is a SAP.

But the article is on C. psittacus, which is a long way from a SAP. It is FW-BW-SW and ecologically a Mangrove fish, which is borne out nicely by the feeding analyses.

The only implication for SAP is that it carries out the idea that the species includes high-level meat eaters whose prey graze on plants & algae. But that level of abstraction and implication is risky with puffer species - the genera themselves are not very secure.

Interesting though, thanks anyway. I am way behind on reading PFK.

I just think the pic is wrong. All the rest of the info sounds like the psittacus.
