C. irrubesco + DPs?

I've heard some people report that they've had good luck keeping C. irrubesco with Dwarfs. I was wondering what people here think, and how large a tank this would take.
I was considering trying to keep a pair of C. irrubesco with a few DPs in a 29g tank, which is planted and has driftwood and clay pots.
Good idea or bad idea?

I have two female irrubesco in with my DP's in a 75G. Does it work?
Yes and no. The irrubesco hide away all the time only venturing out at night and feeding time. Don't know if this is because of the DPs or just that they are nocturnal.
No - because I have to say the irrubescos probably have the most beautiful markings out of all my puffers and I don't get to see them!

I would instinctually say no way, but I too have heard of this being done. I think a 29 gal may be too small though. I know people on here that have had irrubesco's kill each other in a tank that size. Perhaps a single specimen would be wiser. Have separate quarters ready if necessary. Anyone else with experience with this want to chime in?

I had them together (along w/SAPs) in a 50g tank. The other puffers were bitten by the DPs. Nasty lil buggars!
