storm of the century...or at least a decade

So here in the Midwest we are currently being beaten by a crazy storm w/ 60mph winds, tornadoes, heavy rain, etc. I'm worried the power will go out. Last time a storm like this hit about 10 years ago, people here in Michigan were w/o power for several days. We live in an apartment complex so running a loud, smelly generator (that we don't have) is out of the question. So JUST IN CASE the power is out when I get home from work...and the building is still standing haha..ha...what could I do to help my puffs (and other fish)??

You can get those back up batterys that can be used to run your filters and pumps. Or at very minimum you can get a cup and just scoop water out and pour it back in from a decent height to move the water some. I started a thread a while back about what to do when the power went out that had a lot of good info.

We're supposed to have a huge storm too but so far nothing... It was supposed to storm last night and it didn't.

Be very glad you didn't get the storm Flutter!! For most of the areas affected it wasn't as bad as they made it sound like it was going to be. The heavy rain didn't last long where I am but we have insane wind. But by my dad's house on Lake Michigan trucks were blown into trees, barns were leveled & my old neighbors deck was ripped off the front of the house. I haven't made it back to my apartment to see if there's any damage...darn job!!!
