Irrubesco Population Question

Two new irrubescos will be entering my possession soon. I will try to rehome them but if it's not possible we're prepared to keep them. We have 4 already, 2 males and 2 females. I can choose the genders of the new fish and I'm torn between getting another pair or getting 2 females. Our current ones get along quite well though there is some displaying between the males. The PufferPedia says that they do best in pairs but a pair would introduce a new male... Since I haven't seen any aggression between the females this has me wondering if 2 more females would be best.

I know there's a few of you out there who have kept these guys in small groups. What do you guys think?

I havent kept as large a group as you but would think 2 females would be the best solution over adding a third male. If the balance is ok in there any new additions will mix it up but 2 females may be easier than an extra pair?
