used the gizzards and livers for many late nit catfish rendevouzs

I prefer to feed my catfish/plecos, melon rinds.

I read somewhere that livers can reak havick on a tank. It was a saltwater tank that was posted and crashed from all of the organics that let loose in the tank.

I had thought he meant as fishing bait, and eatin catfish, not tank catfish.

That makes sence lol. Chicken livers are a must to have when going catfishing. I also have alot of luck with large minnows placed on crappie jigs.

that reminds me. I took my buddy fishing with me for the first time a couple years back. I told him to get some chicken livers and told him about how they are good catfish bait with the blood and stink and so forth. Well his with his wit he decided if they like the stench so much that it would be a good idea to let them sit out in the sun all day then go fishing with them that night. He learned real quick that it wasnt a good idea and added rotten chicken livers along with his vomit to chum the water. It was one of the funniest things I have ever seen.

Actually I like chicken liver that's been left out for bait. Channel Cats love it!
