The Puffer Forum

I seen these puffers at my LFS and they had them labeled as Zebra Puffers. I looked up Zebra Puffers on Google and they look nothing like what these look like. Well I took some pictures (not very good ones at all since he would not stay still). s/he was like an olive green/gold with black stripes. I know it's pretty hard to see but if anyone could help me figure out what kind of Puffer this is I would really appreciate it. It's being sold as freshwater also. Yeah that does resemble him a lot. The only thing is the green is a little darker. But that's what his strips look like. Also I was told it was one of the more peaceful puffers as well.

Looks SAP'ish. This is a nice puffer to start with, only issue is they do best in groups (very odd for a puffer) and have a fast growth rate on their teeth.

Yeah it is without a doubt a SAP now that I look into it more. I was thinking about going back to get one tomarrow. So one wouldn't be a good idea then basically? I don't have room for 3 of them or so but I might be able to pull something off. I have a 75 gallon I am going to setup soon and wanted to make it a puffer tank. It would have to go in my 29 gallon for the winter tho. I plan on setting up the 75 next spring,

my vote is SAP also...
