Hey puffer peeps I havent posted in while (just been reading) but I know I can count on yalls help whenever.....

Do u believe in the power of many ppl praying for one one thing to help that prayer be answered? I do. Long story short my one of my childhood dogs is very ill. She is a Miniature Doberman Pincher. Shes been a joy to me, my brother and father for 12 years so far. Last year has been tough thou. She fought off kidney stones and recovered well. Anyways last week my Dad rushed her to the doggy hospital to get checked bc she wasnt acting right. Shes 12 years old and hasnt been spayed. The vet found out her uterus was infected. He opted for an emergency spay surgery as was recommended by the doctor. She came home and seemingly got a tad better but wouldnt eat at all for 4 days. Doctor says thats normal for 2-3 days well now its been a week. She hasnt ate at all, only her IV keepin her hydrated and antibiotics. The doc is saying her kidneys are failing. So im asking if u pray tonight to send a prayer and some love my way to my beloved pet Cleo. She needs a miracle and tomorrow they want my Dad to decide to put her down. Seems soon to me but, the vet is saying everything possible is being done. So please send as many prayers and love for my puppy Cleo. I surely would return the favor any day and appreciate it.

Sammy Dee sorry about your little puppy. I would say I am a bit of an expert on kidney failure in both humans and animals. Having had two kidney transplants myself I am now dealing with a cat that has CRF (chronic renal failure). I have kept her going with a great quality of life for the last 15 months via sub q and medication. I don't know at what stage your little furbaby is at but if you either post her blood work ( get a hard copy from your vet) or pm it it to me I might be able to give a few pointers on treatment. Once kidney function is lost you can't get it back but their are lots of ways to prolong the remaining function.

I had a younger dog who went in kidney failure for no apparent reason (we think she was poisoned). On the day we had decided to put her to rest, she turned around & never had a problem with her kidneys since that event & lived many more years.

Thx for the encouragement. Unfortunatly she HD to be pu down. I still think it's BS. She was lathargic and not eating but 12 years old and haveing a huge surgery like that. And putting her down only a week after seemed soon. I tried to talk my Dad outta it but the docs convinced him nothing could be done. I will do some investigating and try to show The blood work. Maybe there was some meds she coulda took idk???
