my new ceylon puffer doesn't seem interested in eating it's only it's second day in the tank so it's early days but i was wondering if it was worth worming him as a precaution, he's not looking thin and i've not seen him poop ,just wondered if it worth doing now or is it best to wait awhile and let him settle in

I know a lot of people on the forums treat all their new fish for internal parasites no matter what, just to be sure. I think its a good idea, because you never know what condition/treatment they had before you got them I worried about the same thing, i have had my puffer for a week now and scrutinized every little thing and decided to treat him just in case and he is happier than ever I used Prazipro to treat my fish, but i know there are other treatments people on the forums recommend. If he doesn't look thin and his feces is normal looking then it's not necessary at the moment. You could do it of you choose for peace of mind. It's more of a personal choice. I do it only if I think there is an issue with puffers. It won't hurt if you do so whatever you feel most comfortable with.
