has he posted a picture of this puffer to verify? that thread is ridiculous. maybe the shop was mis-informed and therefore are telling people its the wrong puff. but what type of puff would be that small in SW for that amount of time that it wouldnt die? not knowing the real facts(and told by the shop) that these "red eye puffers"(really fangs as i found out on here not too long after he died) labeled in the pet store could do brackish i bought one to see how he would do with my GSP when i was about to first start my brackish conversion. two days into increasing the SG by .002 he started doing circled and died :(

You made me register at that site and I was going to post a pic of a DP and a GSP to ask him which one he had and he beat me to the punch with his own pic. Good, it was a GSP...But, should it be in full marine if it's young?

Sometimes for fun I ask about the F8s at 'Jack's Aquarium and Pets' and they always call them "freshwater puffers"...I always correct them. Jack's is store that started locally and now has about 25 stores in the region.

I researched puffers for months before I bought any. And they were lucky enough to get put right into cycled tanks. This is why I am so mad that I've lost two puffers to IPs as I had very little control over that.
