turned the tank lights on this morning, and saw this hanging from 1 of my saps it definately wasnt there at feeding time last night. hes still eating fine,dosent seem bothered by it. but since ive fed them this morning, there now looks to be a bloodworm hanging from whatever it is aswell is it a hernia or something? what can i do for him?


all the puffers in there have been there for a good 7 months or so now, havent recently added or chnged anything in the tank.

cananyone help please?

looks like a prolapse to me, sometimes they go back buy themselves i don't think you can do anything about it you have to wait and see if it sorts it's self out, i'm sure someone with more knowledge than me will be along soon, i hope he's ok

Epsom salt can reduce swelling of things like anus, etc. 1 tbsp/10g for FW.

Pet store, grocery store, pharmacy, hydroponics store, tack store... Almost anywhere. It's used for all sorts of things and should be very easy to find.

Try Boots, they used to sell it. Failing that cheap on ebay.

poor little fella died last night up till yesterday he was eating ok, but last night whatever it was hanging from him started to look as if it had fungus of some kind? not like what ive eever seen on a fish before,but looked the same as what dp eggs sometimes get, really hairy looking. then when i got up this morning, hehad died x
