well this one does need a trim... but I'll let him get used to its new home first. He just got moved from a 210 to a 55

Ha, just saw your other thread-new tank setup looks great!

no it is the middle one.... the other 2 are fine and freaking out.

This one was breathing heavy and laying on the bottom.. It took forever to catch him.

I felt so bad for them when they did that. They'd do that anytime we messed with the tank, including water changes. Let me know how they settle into the smaller section

I'm hoping they will like it.. it has more current and more closely resembles a "river" with unidirectional flow. Well no going back now...

My SAPs never minded partials - like most fish, they were energized by them - ping-pong balls with fins. But they are a nightmare to catch with plant thickets at the back of the tank.

Usually it is a team effort with my wife behind the tank and me at the front... this time I was solo... and it took a REALLY long time.

I am happy to report that he / she is back to semi-normal behavior. 2 of the 3 SAPS love the new home and are exploring it quite a bit without freaking out.

The largest of the 3 still has the dark stripes and is still looking for the invisible "out" door somewhere in the glass

Just as a side note and observation: They ARE much better behaved with the lights out. When I had my asthma attack last night there was enough morning light that I could watch them without turning on the lights and actually enjoy them. They were exploring, hunting snails and shrimp... As soon as the lights came on they freaked out. I wonder if this has anything to do with how dark and murky their native waters are? Just a thought.

hmm thats a great thought i believe that this is so..... Majority of Fresh water fish live in murky water in the wild
and asthma is a pain i have it and its always bad this time of year with the weather change and pollen.... and imagine im a football player lol

they did that with me too, when i flicked on their tank lights they would start pacing, it must be something to do with their natural enviro?
