I'm a little miffed... my wife bought these cat collars for my casts and they were not cheap. She paid $15 each + shipping $7
Apparently they are all natural flea & tick collar containing lemon grass, eucalyptus oil and peppermint.
You guys be the judge.. is she nuts?

LOL!! traitor!!!
anyway .. I asked her about it and her reasoning was that flea collars here make the cats sick (Hartz) and that is the only brand we can get.
So .. she went the way of "all natural".. The cat's don't mind it as of yet.

Why do you need a flea collar anyways? Yuck, those chemicals then get all over your hands all the time.

Well, I know that I think those collars are cute.
Hartz and the drip-on flea medications will actually cause my cat to lose hair within 24 hours. (Bare neck cat, or spots/line down her back).
If the collar is all natural, and contains things that won't cause her to lose hair.... I'd probably pay it. Lord knows she escapes every now and again and has brought fleas back with her twice now.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure - because treating my whole house, as well as going to the vet to get her the shot to kill the fleas, with the follow up pill (for just her alone) would cost WAY more than the $$ you are out on the collars... and we have 2 cats. So 2 shots, 2 pills, and treat the house... I think it's worth it. (sorry J-P!)
